design et al are delighted to announce that Onyx London has been shortlisted for Residential £10 Million Plus (Property by Value) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
A completely new built five-bedroom townhouse, which enjoys East to West facing light situated on just off Kensington High Street, a moments’ walk from Holland Park, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Onyx London were enlisted to complete the interior design of this luxury property in a way that would be harmonious with the affluence of the surrounding Kensington area.
The townhouse is arranged over six floors and has been built to an extremely high standard offering luxurious accommodation over 6,600 sq. ft. The ground floor has a large entrance, which leads into the formal reception overlooking the garden, with a study area above on the first floor. The upper basement level comprises a huge open plan kitchen, dining and family area with a feature floating staircase leading up to the formal reception. Italian kitchen in a bespoke Bolivar Veneer, Bronze metallic and an island in Grey Marquina marble, fully fitted with Gaggenau appliances.
Leading off the main staircase lobby, is a media room wired for a State-of-the-art Cinema system with bespoke walnut and acoustic panelled joinery designed for an 85” 4K screen and surround sound and is wired for Crestron system installation that can control through Crestron touchscreens and iPad minis. The smart home technology was designed and installed by SMC an award-winning system integrator. The lighting design was completed by London Lightworks and the cutting-edge lighting dimming system was from Lutron.
The middle basement level hosts a large swimming pool with an entertainment area, jacuzzi, steam room, spa change and gym. The master suite is on the first floor with a walk-in wardrobe in a bespoke Bolivar veneer and fabric panelled joinery, with his and hers drawer units, hanging rails and a dressing table. The master en suite boasts a large shower, bath and double vanity basin, in a beautifully golden veined Sivec Marble. The second and third floor comprises four further guest bedrooms, with bespoke wardrobes and well-designed en suites.
