This former Coach House, has been cleverly extended to maximise the potential for the plot and this family home showcases Mid Century furniture & the Best of British Designer Makers against a gallery inspired backdrop.
After requesting a kitchen design from Clare Pascoe, the clients were so impressed by her equal passion and knowledge of mid-century furniture; and from this meeting of minds invited Pascoe Interior’s to pitch on the full interior design project. Clare’s signature Mid Century Contemporary style was a perfect look to realise the clients vision for the new property, to design a flexible, future proofed family home that will adapt to suit the growing needs of the family, and to provide space for relaxation & entertainment. The colour palette was inspired by the 1950’s book ‘This Is Israel’ by Miroslav Sasek.
A gallery style interior can easily become cold and hard edged, but by blending a range of materials, textures, colours and new with old the interior delivers a refreshing, relaxing & inspirational interior, that flows seamlessly throughout the house while still representing the characters of all the family members. The house showcases the beauty of Mid Century furniture and champions the best of British Designer Makers, making this a truly sustainable design with responsible sourcing, reusing existing pieces and supporting our home grown talent to preserve their skills. Additionally, the project was a perfect example of Client, Designer and Architect working in prefect harmony and total support of one another. Even through difficult days, a tight & united team was presented. This is a very special project is a wonderful example of professionals working together.
