ArtHouse Creative Interiors Ltd have been shortlisted for Kitchen Design Over £150,000 Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2020.
Located along the wonderfully unspoilt coast of Portugal, overlooking a beautiful golf course; sits this stunning luxury villa. The clients approached ArtHouse Creative Interiors with a substantial large room as a blank canvas, allowing for complete design freedom. Having owned holiday homes in this region for a number of years, the clients knew this is where they wanted to retire and enjoy quality time with their extensive family & friends. This villa was going to be well used by family and friends regularly, so the client was aware they needed to invest in good quality/high branded products creating a true home-from-home environment.
As an expansive room, overall size measuring in excess of 80 sq. metres, ArtHouse Creative Interiors needed to design the space in a clever way. Within early designs the idea of a room within a room developed, by using SieMatic Side & slide door to conceal a secret hidden walk-in pantry store and cool room. This space would provide the client with a concealed area for prep/storage, concealed away from the main showpiece setting of the main kitchen area.
Located adjacent to the beautiful pool landscaping, as an entertaining house a large bank of wine refrigeration and large fridge and freezers were to be specified. The outside walls of the pantry housed state of the art Gaggenau Vario cool fridge, freezer and wine chillers. The wine store alone consists of 3 Gaggenau Vario cool appliances facing outwards to the landscaped poolside; providing storage for not only the finest wines, but practical for refreshments by day and a stunning visual feature lit by night. This hidden pantry helped the ergonomics of the kitchen work perfectly.
A holiday home for entertaining, this is to be a well-used family home where everyone from friends and extended family are welcome. The design is contemporary and fresh yet homely at the same time. Not only is at aesthetically pleasing its functionality to host parties and enjoy cooking whilst entertaining is its key feature. A true home-from-home, with their passion for cooking, the clients loved the space and how well this works for them.
