Tell us a little about your background in design
From 1988-1994 Chiara studied Architecture in Italy and the Netherlands and Graduated from Milano, Politecnico. From 1992 to 2005, Chiara worked as an architect and interior designer in Italy and China;. In 2007, she founded Misha Wallcoverings.
How would you describe your personal design style?
I would describe my personal design style as timeless – inspired by different cultures throughout the world.
Where does your design inspiration come from?
My design inspiration comes from Chinese and Asian traditional paintings, such as 1800’s veduta paintings about journeys around the world, any colour, texture and fantasy that is uncommon to my culture.
In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?
Design now is not only focused on the product, but mostly on the capacity of creating an experience, a mood and an atmosphere.

If you could offer one piece of advice when it comes to design schemes, what would it be?
Have strong ideas first, when the concept is clear it’s easy to shape it afterwards, to make your customer dream.

What projects are you currently working on?
A Wallcovering project for a Palace in Doha.
What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?
Work side by side with our customers’ request, our creative team and our craftsmen to create new projects. Always the most challenging time!
