. Tell us a little about your background in design

Massimo Paradisi and Rovena Giorgi founded A2Zen Consulting in 2006 combining Massimo’s 15 years experience in his Italy based studio within his family owned high-end furniture retail business and Rovena’s career in asset portfolio management for high-profile clients.

Rovena was British educated in international schools worldwide and approached her home country of Italy to complete her studies at the University of Urbino in order to perfect her native language. Massimo has a technical background formed at the Callegari Institute of Interior Design.

Massimo’s Italian flair and Rovena’s international and multilingual background were the perfect combination with which to approach the global market.

Over the years, the team populated with young Architects from different parts of Europe and, together, they have created a distinct and unique luxury residential brand.

How would you describe your personal interior design style?

We offer our creative service, architectural knowledge and experience to the client, but ultimately we design their home and we strive for each project to be unique in it’s kind and taylor made to their requirements.

. Where does your design inspiration come from?

Our inspiration comes from a combination of location, property and client type.

We see a floorplan and suddenly the whole scene unfolds there, in our minds. Our main motto is to listen carefully to our clients and capture their essence and needs, all related to the country and nature of the property.

. In what direction do you feel that design is moving towards in a general sense?

Design is definitely moving away from stark minimalism and into an era of texture. It’s all about touching and feeling and the flat surfaces are being replaced with richer ones.

In general, there is also a greater awareness of Design across the board and it is being approached by a greater number of individuals…

. How important are The International Design and Architecture Awards as recognition of talent and achievement?

I think it is a great opportunity for your work to be shared with others who are aware that you have been selected amongst many, and that is the kind of limelight every talented and professional designer hopes for.

. What projects are you currently working on?

Amongst our ongoing projects, we are completing a luxury property within the Tour Odeon in Monaco and starting on a Ski Chalet in Hokkaido.

. What are your aims and goals for the next twelve months?

Our aim is always to work in quality residential projects and strive for new challenges.
