design et al are delighted to announce that Purple Design Ltd have been shortlisted for the Table Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2018.
The Lola Side Table is a sassy and highly original table with an optional integrated and adjustable lamp. Inspired by the skirt of 50s movie screen icon, Gina Lollobrigida, the table features a wasp-waisted gently curved hexagonal base, mirrored by an hourglass lampshade. The base is covered in faux leather and trim details with polished nickel and the shade is in silk with trimmed waist. Lola is also available in other finishes including bronze with a marble verre églomisé top, various veneers and marble stone top.
The Lola table breaks new design ground in both style and practical usage. Lola beautifully combines a table and lamp and is a deserving winner with a harmonious and original design brought to life by meticulous hand craftsmanship.
Lola is a complex piece of design involving innovative processes to create the concave shapes and the tapering waist and to incorporate the various different materials used.
