“The compact apartment has one 5.6 x 4.8 meter living space within which our clients wanted soft seating and dining for 6 adults. A fully fitted kitchen with large fridge freezer, dish washer, double ovens, hob and lots of storage. My brief was to maximise the space and light. To provide storage within a comfortable, fun, elegant interior. I viewed the property with my clients, at this point there was a small run of kitchen units in an empty fully carpeted room, the F/F and storage for the kitchen provided in the hall cupboard. Within a short 10 week timetable the apartment was renovated, new heating and lighting systems installed, the kitchen fitted and bespoke furniture, rugs, artworks and feature lighting in place.

I kept the canvas of the scheme neutral upon which bright pops of colour and life and character to the interior. The lines of the furniture are kept to a minimal height, clean and simple to aid the feeling of space. Antiqued mirrored surfaces help to flood the space with natural light and create an elegance combined with the glass of the table top and chandelier. Functional storage finished in gloss paint to tone with the walls ensures the pieces fade into the background and circular bright yellow swivel chairs add a sense of movement and softness to the otherwise angular space. A Bespoke painting and rug help define the sitting area and add texture and vibrant colour to the scheme.”  Lindsey Rendall
