Rendall & Wright

Congratulations to Rendall & Wright who have been shortlisted for Residential £1-2.5 Million (Property by Value) Award in The International Design and Architecture Awards 2019

design et al are delighted to announce that Rendall & Wright have been shortlisted for Residential £1-2.5 Million (Property by Value) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.

Rendall & Wright were enlisted for the interior design of this Suffolk home. The clients had a plain canvas with a lot of brown antiques, they wanted to bring the property together, introduce some colour and have a bit more fun with the interior. The client, who loves to spend her spare time on her yacht, wanted Rendall & Wright to give the kitchen and dining area a yacht-like feel, which is evident through the use of bold and fresh colours.

The designers were required to link two sides of a U-shaped building to create a new dining space with natural light. The design brief requested an injection of colour and life into the property whilst also incorporating their traditional loved antiques. The clients also wanted the designers to incorporate a study into the property. All joinery is bespoke and designed with the clients antiques in mind. The simple shapes and forms celebrate some of their much-loved pieces of art.

Rendall & Wright believe that this project was so successful because the design is rich and feels opulent whilst flowing through to the contemporary kitchen. The interiors bring the colours from the surrounding countryside, textures and pattern add life and excitement to what was a dull and lifeless space previously.
