Evoking the cool ambiance and energy of a Porto Cervo summer, in Sardinia, Draw Link Group has designed an open air terrace with a preserved orange tree at its heart.
Draw Link Group has created Roberto’s Restaurant in DIFC taking inspiration from the Mediterranean and using a mix of simple and neutral materials such as leather paneling, wood and travertine marble.
There are four rooms altogether; the main dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows and a private balcony, Il Salotto lounge with a cosmopolitan design, combining Milan with Dubai, the terrace, La Terrazza, reminiscent of a cool ambiance and energy of a Porto Cervo summer in Sardinia with an open air terrace and the cellar.
“La Terrazza has a minimalist design with stonewalls, structured wood ceilings and features a preserved orange tree at its heart. The terrace area is designed in a way that can be divided into two zones, which can be used for private parties and events. The furniture is very simple, matching the indoor style with the outdoor materials. We have different types of seating in the main dining and casual lounge area.”
The design team said it drew inspiration from the Mediteranean lifestyle, Dubai environment, and feedback from the client with the main challenges having to work with a limited budget and the location in DIFC, which meant a lot of the work was done in night shifts to avoid any disruptions in the day.
