Rock & Bone is the highly anticipated new kitchen and furniture brand from Charlie Smallbone, founder of Smallbone of Devizes and Damian Lawrance, founder and owner of the La Rock specialist joinery workshop in Knaresborough, Yorkshire.

Charlie’s design vision, originating from 30 years in the kitchen and furniture industry, fused with the consummate workmanship of Damian’s handpicked team of artisan craftsmen, has resulted in a brand which not only showcases quality but also truly original designs.

Raising the bar for bespoke kitchen and furniture brands, Rock & Bone launched their new signature collection with an impressive stand at Maison et Objet 2013. The stand, co-hosted by the ultimate kitchen appliance brand Sub-Zero & Wolf, unveiled six original pieces of furniture and Rock & Bone’s newly designed Lateral kitchen collection. Each piece has been originally designed by Charlie Smallbone and made to the highest degree of craftsmanship in Rock & Bone’s Nidd Valley workshop in Yorkshire.

Rock & Bone is about the new. The creative process is about bringing together two strands – mental thought origination followed by physical execution. Rock & Bone is working towards “a better definition of functional objects” as their core message . By combining both Damian’s and his own experience in the luxury sector, Charlie’s vision is to create a new context for furniture and kitchen design by making functionality and style of tantamount importance. Customers can expect beautiful metallised finishes, 1950’s-inspired “car” colours and bespoke handles, applied by hand to produce unique works of art.
