design et al are delighted to announce that Sarah Z Designs have been shortlisted for the Bathroom Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
This 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom coastal condo in Hollywood Beach Florida features a custom kitchen with bespoke millwork and cabinetry. The design brief behind the master bathroom was to capture the essence of the ocean through the colour palette, wallcoverings and materials.
This property boasts breath-taking ocean views from the 32nd floor. By using a rich palette, Sarah Z Designs uses colour to create continuity throughout the condo. The predominant blues throughout the condo paired with coastal artwork, and Alex Turco panels in the master bathroom bring the essence of the nearby ocean into every room, in particular the bathroom.
Custom wall units, cabinetry, with hidden appliances are seamlessly integrated to maximise functionality for the client’s needs. Textured wallcoverings and ceiling details create an inviting atmosphere throughout, with ample lighting that illuminates and gives off a mid-century modern tone. The handmade blue monolith walls in the master bedroom bath adds a unique focal point to the room, giving a cool ambient glow for ultimate relaxation. The client chose custom bedding for the bedrooms, as well as custom pillows for the living room sectional and outdoor furniture.
Sarah Z Designs utilises every inch of space to their advantage to incorporate custom mill-work; a breakfast nook area, custom accessory display in the entry foyer, a custom server and bar area in the dining room, and a custom wall unit in the living room.
