Design et al are delighted to announce the successful shortlist for Garroni Design for the up to 30m Sailing Yacht Award in the IY&A Awards 2016.
Lucy 26m Motor Sailor is a modern blue sea multipurpose ketch rigged sailing yacht, designed for ocean cruising and exploration grand voyages, suitable both for hotel yacht charter operation and for private owner use. The sailing yacht has twin engines, shallow draft, high capacity fuel and fresh water tanks. Its ultimate equipment, easy handling and ability to run under sails make her a unique long range yacht, responding to highest cruise standards in full comfort and total safety.
The motor sailor has a GRP hull-moulded long keel, mixed system structured based on transverse frames supporting longitudinal. It’s strengthened transverse frames are used in a way of masts and keel based portals are there to support the masts. Bow section is separated with a collision bulkhead. The engine room is situated under the living room with a separate watertight bulkheads. The hull is divided into four watertight compartments. The sailing yacht also has stainless steel freshwater tanks and aluminum fuel tanks.
Regarding the comfort of living on-board, interior layout of the yacht has been designed in respect of higher standing charter operation requirements or Owner’s expectations . The space is organised on 3 accommodations decks. The modern saloon and living room area accommodates a spacious dining area along with a relaxing sofa and a stylish bar counter. The main upper deck has a luxurious and relaxing sun bathing area along with an outside dining area. The lower deck holds three en-suite double bedrooms with a deluxe shower that converts into a sauna.
