design et al are pleased to announce that David Chang Design Associates have been Shortlisted in the Asia-Pacific Residential £2.5-5 Million Award (project value), with their project ‘The Palace’.
The Palace is located across from from the landmark CCTV building (China Central Television) in the heart of CBD, Beijing. This luxurious apartment is approximately 350 square meters with 3 bedrooms with ensuites and a boutique closet room for displaying the evening gowns. With dining room as the center of the home open to the living room and kitchen, the clients place their emphasis on the love of dining and entertaining with friends and families. The detail of texture in materials is prevailed throughout the entire apartment such as agate marble, jade, pearl, leather, rosewood and bronze. The client also has passion for different style paintings which are delicately positioned in dining room, living room and various bedrooms. The overall design atmosphere is a new way to interpret the metropolitan life of the capital city in China where the “forbidden city” is no longer forbidding all arts and culture, but rather, embracing them.
