More shortlist success for GIL Art & Design Consultants in the ID&A Awards 2014

GIL Art & Design Consultants from Hong Kong are shortlisted for the Living Space – Asia-Pacific award in the International Design & Architecture Awards 2014 with their apartment project from Guangzhou.

The design of this modern apartment is characterized by a unique sensuous and luxurious appeal that would not go unnoticed for anyone who visited it. The main living room is enveloped by a layered cove ceiling with a tinted mirror finish and all of the walls are treated with elegant beige leather upholstered panels. The flooring is hand-cut marble tiles in various sizes dotted by gold-leaf glass mosaics. All of these elements and materials express a sense of opulence. The living room design offers an deluxe bar with a back-lit onyx wall and an elegant marble fireplace as a backdrop for an elaborate seating arrangement.

The over sized crystal chandeliers reflected in the mirrored ceilings in both living and dining areas produce a sense of meteoric glamour. The curved fabric panel walls framing the boat-shaped dining table are highlighted by a custom-design graceful contemporary wall installation. The sweeping curve of the artwork energizes the entire space. The apartment has ultra-high-end leisure amenities like a home theatre with its own wine storage and cigar humidor. A tucked away room provides a gaming table just like a casino VIP room.

The decorative charm is given a softer twist in the master suite where glamour and opulence give way to harmony and more classic elegance. Exquisite details in the custom pattern in mirrors, headboards and bathroom vanity celebrate the ideal of modern savoir-vivre.
