Hydro Tec by Sergio Cutolo S.r.l have achieved further shortlist success in the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2015. Columbus 40 Sport Hybrid, built by Columbus Yachts (Palumbo S.p.a), will compete for the Power Yacht 25-40 metres Award.

The aim of the 40m sport hybrid yacht is to provide owners with a fast and sporty yacht without renouncing the comfort, elegance and style of a mega yacht. Sport indicates the high performance of the vessel, being equipped with two MTU engines and incredibly efficient hull lines she reaches 23 knots and easily cruises at 18-20 knots.
The revolutionary hybrid propulsion system offers a new quiet and efficient way of yachting. With this green approach the owner can cruise slowly with the main engines switched off, transforming this high performance yacht into an incredibly quiet, fuel efficient and graceful superyacht. The addition of the folding balconies and beach club offers owners direct contact with the surrounding environment.
