design et al are delighted to announce the further successful shortlist for Space Architects + Designers for the International Hotel & Property Awards 2016, for the Restaurant Award with their project Develi.
The designers have created a new modern corporate identity for one of the oldest restaurants in Turkey. Develi, has been serving delicious Turkish cuisine since 1912. The main goal of this new design was to recreate the legacy of the well-known “Develi” in its new location, Nişantaşı. The location is one of the most popular and fancy districts in İstanbul that attracts the attention of both tourists and locals.
The concept was to design a fresh, modern and exciting environment for existing and new costumers of the business. The semi-open entrance area and the closed interior space are connected to each other by using folding decorative screens. Open screens create a more spacious environment and widens the perspective of the guests. Using marble mosaic tiles on the floor and the usage of vertical gardens make the space more welcoming.
Furniture and lighting choices along with the bronze metal details bring a warm and elegant atmosphere. Exposed ceilings are covered with suspended metal panels with different heights and sizes along with bronze mirrors and space-defining lighting fixtures. Hand painted column and bar decors brought a vintage look. Combination of every detail and material with the warm history of “Develi” name, each guest is experiencing a completely different, individual and unique way of dining.
