ALMA HOTEL & LOUNGE is situated in the heart of Tel Aviv’s UNESCO White City. Setting a new standard in luxury bespoke hospitality, the hotel has reached the shortlist for the Hotel up to 50 Rooms Award within The International Hotel and Property Awards 2013. Submitted by Jacob Peres Office, it represents a unique mix of top end opulent and modern design.
Design brief / project description: 15 lavish, individually designed, deluxe rooms and studio suites referring back to the building’s history as the first private residence designed for multiple families to live side by side, in the newly founded Tel Aviv. The exquisite listed building, dating back to 1925, is now passionately restored and given a new opulent identity by leading architecture and interior design studio Shaltiel Kastiel in collaboration with mosaic and glass artist Lauri Recanati, inspired by the varied residents’ personalities, histories and styles.
Favourite / key aspect of the project: The hotel is comprised of 8 spacious deluxe rooms and 7 lavish studio suites; each uniquely designed, telling a different story that harps back to the building’s alluring bohemian past. The rooms contain an eclectic mix of vintage treasures and heavily embellished unique furniture pieces blended with contemporary furniture.
