Master furniture designers and manufacturers, Black & Key have successfully won the Table award in the The International Product Design Awards 2013.

Their Morph table collection, is made up of the Ecto, Meso and Endo tables. The inspiration behind the collection comes from the wish to create an original design for a side table that can be adapted in a variety of dimensions and finishes.

“The design needed to complement our collection and we wanted a variation to our Black & Key leg design. We also chose to contrast the timbers with a variety of metal finishes, and particularly indulge in the revival of antique brass”

Ecto table – The Morph Collection – Raven Walnut with antique brass capping

The tallest of the three complementary Morph tables, the Ecto side table, available with an optional low-level shelf and antique brass capping. This table, like others in the range, can be made with a contrasting radial Macassar or burr walnut top, or in any of the other veneers on top as well as legs.

Meso table – The Morph Collection – Pewter birds eye maple with polished nickle capping

The Meso table is shown crafted in Raven walnut with antique brass as well as in Pewter bird’s eye maple throughout, with polished nickel capping. Other veneers and finishes are available, such as Noir, Piano black, and other bird’s eye maple veneers such as Sable or Mink.

Endo table – The Morph Collection – Raven walnut with radial macassar top and antique brass capping

The lowest of the complementary Morph tables, the Endo table, is shown with a superbly crafted radial Macassar top, Raven walnut legs and antique brass capping. All our other veneers are available for this piece.

The capping detail adds a touch of subtle embellishment to the understated form of the table. It is also the logical extension of the unusual shape of the leg.

Every table is made to order. A selection of finishes and veneers, sizes and an optional low level shelf are standard options within the collection. They also offer a bespoke service if a particular veneer, finish or dimension is required.
