David Chang Design Associates have achieved further Shortlist success in the International Design & Architecture Awards 2015. Their project ‘Heritage Estate’ has been shortlisted in the Asia-Pacific Residential £5 Million+ (Project Value) category.

Heritage Estate project is located in the centre of CAD (Central Administrative District). European classical details and the Chinese traditional cultural motifs coexist in this project in harmony. Through refining, simplifying, altering, combining and other methods, a sense of prosperity and luxury yet introverted atmosphere is created. This luxurious apartment is approximately 359 square meters with 3 bedrooms with ensuites and den. The average 3.4 meters ceiling height gives ample room for intricately designed drop ceiling which not only bring visual warmth but also richness to the space. Unique application of leather flooring is used throughout the master bedroom. The visual impact was greatly displayed by the bold application of marble in the public area such as foyer, living room and dining room. The overall approach it to find a good balance to create a harmonious East and West interior in Beijing, China.
