The brief was to create a heart and hub for the house and family of six busy and sociable inhabitants, which was beautiful and practical. All the spaces have been created to make the most of this property’s fantastic unobstructed far-reaching countryside views. Varying textures and finishes such as unique oak, painted tulip wood and luxurious piracema granite contrast and compliment, while the use of curves help accentuate space whilst promoting the effortless flow of traffic throughout.
At the centre is a cleverly designed multi-functional island providing a central spot for informal dining, a workstation and somewhere to relax with coffee or a glass of wine. The kitchen has been created to intelligently link all the rooms in the home with a formal dining room, cooking area, a walk in larder, informal 12-seater dining area and study area/workstation. Throughout, the beautiful pieces of furniture and cabinetry have been designed with the exact and diverse demands of the client/family in mind.
