Shortlisted: NSI Design with the Triton Penthouse for the City Space Award

design et al are delighted to announce that NSI Design has been shortlisted for in the International Design and Architecture Awards 2015.

Nicholas Sunderland Interiors one of London’s High End Luxury Interior Designers was commissioned by an overseas client to design and furnish a new apartment he had purchased in central London. The property was built by British Land to a high standard, but not an exacting standard, and the client wanted the London residence to be a show piece and faultless in every way. The brief was quite simple, design and furnish in an elegant contemporary manner within a tight deadline. To be used in the summer to host small VIP receptions and the designer had 4 months to design and complete the project.

The client mainly requested the use of dark wood and mirrors. Also wanting the overall finish to be exemplary and faultless in its finish, from the choice of furnishings to the quality of the paint surfaces. With a view to sell in the near future, it was to be a standard that would increase the value of the property by its overall appearance and quality. The designer had to fit and furnish three bedrooms, an open plan reception, entrance hall, study, three bathrooms and a kitchen to include soft furnishings, furniture and fitting ready to walk in.

The sofas were from a new collection by Roche Bobois Interface and the leather chosen to complement the handmade rugs from Starke in Chelsea harbour, woven by hand in silk. The distinctive coffee table, also from Davidson, had a rich cross inlaid top to match the dining table, and the designer added a bespoke open media unit lacquered in the same cream finish.
