Silver Fast is the fourth Superyacht built by Australia’s premier luxury yacht builder Silver Yachts. She is the most advanced, eco-fuel efficient vessel in the ground-breaking silver series. Designed by Espen Oeino, one of world’s famous yacht designers, Silver Fast retains the super-sleek contour and unique hull lines of her much-prized predecessors but with a striking new all dark silver paint. At 77 Metres (252.6ft) with a top speed of over 27 knots in optimal conditions, Silver Fast is the world’s largest and fastest aluminium motor yacht with conventional propulsion in terms of length to speed ratio. Silver Fast is also the fastest long range cruising yacht – 4,500 nautical miles at 18 knots and 6,000 nautical miles at 14 knots with an already proven capability to effortlessly complete long passages in every sea state. She is capable of crossing the Atlantic at approximately 22 knots cruising speed, which is a record breaking.
Silver Yachts were teamed with the skills and guidance of designer Espen Oeino and Interior designer Andreas Holnburger and achieved such a fantastic result. Silver Fast is the culmination of some 15 years of collaboration and dedication between the Hanseatic Marine | Silver Yachts team, Silver Fast’s owner and his designers. Over 550,000 man hours were invested specifically in the build of Silver Fast to ensure the yacht met the very high exacting standards set out by the owner and his designers in the project brief.
The owner challenged the yard to improve comfort levels from the already high standard of Smeralda. Light weight aluminium construction can challenge some yards in this area, yet comfort and performance has been the yard’s DNA since inception. The technical team set to work, drawing from significant databases of noise and vibration data from trials, then applying state of the art technology and selecting high performance equipment and systems to result in the most comfortable yacht in the Silver series. The resulting Silver Fast has benefited significantly from the owners vision and commitment towards achieving constant improvements in the design, build and operation of the vessel, as well as his support and encouragement of Silver Yachts to take the same approach.
