Stylt Trampoli will join the International Hotel & Property Awards once again to compete in the fifth annual awards with the Vimmerby Stadshotell, shortlisted for the Lobby/Public Areas/Lounge Award (Global).
One of Sweden’s oldest small-town hotels is once more the centre of attention and the natural hub of events for visitors and locals alike.
The design brief was to restore the grandeur of one of the most important buildings in the life of the small town of Vimmerby, with a modern twist.
The hotel needed to regain its position as the heart of the town and its most important meeting place both for business, celebrations, and everyday social engagements. The design is grand, but also warm and welcoming – the perfect balance of respectability and comfort.
A key aspect of the project is the squirrel, a symbol of thrift and industry taken from the town coat of arms, whose portrait now graces the hotel drawing room.
