design et al are delighted to announce that That Is Ith Interior has been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – Asia Pacific Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2019.
That Is Ith Interior were instructed to complete the interior design of a luxury high-rise residence overlooking the biggest greenery area right in the centre of Bangkok city, Thailand. Areas of lush green public park are very rare to find in Bangkok metropolitan, but this luxury project is located on the very last piece of land right in centre of Bangkok with and benefits from spectacular views of the lake and the 720,000 sq. m. green sanctuary, Benjakitti park – the biggest forest park in the city. The sleek sales gallery and show units for this prestigious project were designed to blend-in with natural surroundings.
The high-rise still has the advantage of many urban facilities and hot spots of city living, similar to super luxury apartments that you would find in New York, near Central Park or London, near Hyde Park. The complete value of this project is $360,000,000, one of the most high-end residences you will find in Bangkok. One of the biggest challenges that required specialist skills was the 6-meter height weaving metal screen behind the reception desk which is one of the crafted features in the lobby.
The interior is simple yet elegant using a white, grey and piano black palette and accentuated with gentle deep blues – allowing light and shadows to create subtle and humble changes throughout the day, as it would in a nature park. The design is quite subtle and universal in language, the interiors are able to blend in to their natural surroundings and act as the backdrop allowing the natural environment of the outside world to play the biggest role.
