design et al are delighted to announce that That Is Ith Interior have been shortlisted for Interior Design Scheme – Asia Pacific Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2018.
Ashton 41 is a new prestigious development right in the heart of Bangkok, it is located on one of the most luxurious areas in Thailand, Sukhumvit 41. The property is surrounded by existing old large trees, which act as a large natural divider evoking an exclusive and serene environment in the centre of this chaotic metropolitan. The design brief for That Is Ith Interior was to create a room for a well-known celebrity from Thailand with the concept of “Jewel Jungle”. Projecting her sophisticated and glamorous high fashion characteristic, the room was designed to be a hidden gem in a small jungle among the urban capital.
For the main colour scheme, That Is Ith Interior wanted the project to be mysteriously dark but sparkling and mesmerizing with a touch of luxurious champagne gold. Adding fashionable feminine colours of peacock blue-green to accentuate and soften the room. The double-volume living room features the “Wing of Jewel”, a bespoke art piece with a blue-green moiré effect. There is also a gold butterfly lighting sculpture overhanging from the ceiling, giving this dark scheme a lively touch. The organic chandelier in the dining room and the wall sconces were also selected to emphasize the nature inspired concept and the renowned Serip Organic Lighting sculpture. Lastly, the room was accessorized with an extravagant rare-pink-peacock amongst modern and clean lines of Minotti furniture to, yet again, represents the jungle bound by cosmopolis concept at the stunning Ashton 41.
There were many specialist skills required for this project, which included working closely with the artist to develop the art piece/lighting sculpture “Wing of Jewel” in the duplex area. That Is Ith Interior believe that the design works so well because it strongly reflects the personality of the client who is fashionable, daring, confident and glittering. The design is based on modern and urban living. Its simple lines, high contrast of black and white tone and strong accent colour perfectly mimic the personality of the owner, but this can be lightened up to a softer feeling if necessary.
