Tim Page Carpets from Chelsea Harbour Design Centre, are the very latest to be shortlisted for The International Product Design Awards 2013 in the Flooring – Carpets / Rugs category. Their Claremont carpet is hand woven made from hand spun jute, giving it an uneven surface texture. The subtle slubs with the inconsistencies allow the dye to create a stria through the carpet.

Hand weaving the carpet means they don’t get perfect loom tension which also makes small differences in every roll.
The carpet can be installed using traditional methods or can be finished as an area rug with many different edges.
