Located at one of the most exclusive addresses in Hong Kong, the luxury residential development “Altamira” commands panoramic harbour views as well as uninterrupted mountain vistas. This unique contrast between metropolitan pace and enlivening nature becomes the main backbone of the interior design of this marketing suite named “Deep Opulence”. Designed for a couple where luxury is time, Deep Opulence exemplifies a carefree lifestyle. Materials, furniture and artwork pieces are carefully curated and sourced from international ateliers, giving the effect of a highly personalised selection collected over time.
Choosing a warm, rich timber tone and interpreting in traditional millwork as the main background, the living & dining room is dominated by a geometric wallcovering from famed English house of Fromental. The “Ponti” pattern is a nod to mid-century designer and architect Gio Ponti, created with hand painting over interlocking geometric shapes of dyed silk. A warm grey marble is used to complete the palette. In contrast, free-flowing shape of the Frighetto sofa in sumptuous chocolate velvet, rounded shapes of floor lamp (Gallotti & Radice) and artisanal dining room pendant (Pouenat), and softness of other complementing furniture and decoration pieces give a counterpoint to the crisp, geometric features.
The same hand-crafted sensibility continues into the guest bedroom, games room, and master suite. Reconfigured master bathroom maximizes the view towards the verdant green mountain views; Colour coordinated sanitary fixtures give a calming background to the bright views outside. The Deep Opulence apartment exudes unique personal style, yet feeling completely warm and welcoming, extending Altamira’s spirit, “Inherit the Exceptional”. via architecture are a studio based in Hong Kong made up of architects, interior designers, lighting designers, landscape designers and graphic designers.
