Congratulations to Victoria Vlasova Interiors shortlisted for City Space (Apartment/Penthouse) Award in The International Design & Architecture Awards 2018

design et al are delighted to announce that Victoria Vlasova Interiors have been shortlisted for City Space (Apartment/Penthouse) Award within The International Design and Architecture Awards 2018.

Victoria Vlasova Interiors were commissioned to create a stylish and timeless apartment within a converted house in the centre of Moscow. The client, a highly successful business woman wanted the space to feel luxurious and elegant without feeling over crowded. The 2-bedroom apartment is just 101 square meters, so storage and design were high on the list of priorities.

Victoria Vlasova Interiors completely remodelled the interior of the apartment to remove all corridors allowing for every inch of space to be used, this created 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a useable entrance hall, an office and a beautiful open place living and dining space with integrated kitchen.

In planning the of the remodel, beautiful bespoke cabinetry was factored in throughout, offering storage at every opportunity. In the main living and dining space the kitchen cabinets match perfectly with the cabinetry housing the entertainment system and book shelves on the opposite end of the room. All the cabinets are fronted with mirrors to give the illusion of space throughout the property. This is also continued in both the master bedroom suite and the entrance hall.

Due to the small nature of the property the designer used the same neutral colour palette throughout, instead choosing to add bold statements of colour and texture in the soft furnishing and finishing accessories giving each space its own identity. The client is a keen follower of fashion and design and wanted the opportunity to change the whole feel of the apartment should she so desire without having to remodel entirely. The clever use of built in cabinetry and storage solutions allowed the designer to accentuate with luxury freestanding furniture and rich fabrics, which can easily be changed to match the clients ever evolving tastes. The overall design of the property feels far from bijoux and much more the timeless luxury city base the client desired.
