VOA Architecture Design have achieved further Shortlist success at the International Hotel & Property Awards 2015 with their project ‘Lianfeng Beidaihe Sheraton City Hotel’ featuring in the Hotel over 200 rooms (Global) Shortlist. The Lianfeng Beidaihe Sheraton Hotel is located in the city of Beidaihe, Qinhuangdao Province, a seaside Resort City for Northern China and summer Capital for China’s Central Government.

The new Sheraton Hotel, Conference Centre and Resort Apartments. The design is modern European with a significant garden connected to the Conference Rooms, Dining areas and Lobby. The hotel recognises the Garden as an important element in both Eastern and Western traditions and complements this with an elegant Architecture of balance, proportion and scale, as well as a classic approach that falls well within the Sheraton World of Hospitality.

The interior planning respects this contemporary approach creating Great Rooms that connect to the surrounding gardens. Their design evokes the idea of being in a resort environment with the use of warm, natural materials and furniture, and spaces that evoke the connections to sky, landscape and water, all of which are designed in an elegant contemporary style and evoke the warmth of a comfortable atmosphere of leisure and relaxation.

The Restaurant is modern with a lot of Chinese influences. China is looking to create and define their own style of interior design and this combines the best of Chinese elements in a contemporary expression. The design works well because it works on two levels for hotel patrons and conference centre attendees but in addition as a resort location for summer vacation villa and apartment guests.
