Luisa Barnes Interior Design

I set up Luisa Barnes Interior Design in 2018 turning my passion for creating beautiful homes into a business. I am a London based studio specialising in residential projects. My aim is to help my clients create their dream home. I trained at leading Interior Design School KLC and graduated with distinction in 2017. I have many years of experience and prior to setting up my business I project managed the build of a holiday home in Cornwall. This provided the invaluable experience of going through the whole building process; from planning permission, to tender, to build and finally decoration and furniture installation. I bring a very professional approach to dealing with clients and work hard to ensure that your project will be completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards. My background as a qualified chartered accountant with experience of the finance and corporate world all act to support and enhance my design credentials.

Interior design is my passion. I have a contemporary, elegant, relaxed style; I love to incorporate colour, texture and natural materials in my designs and have an appreciation of well-crafted pieces of furniture and accessories. I aim to create beautiful, stylish spaces that fit with your lifestyle. I will come and visit you in your home to gain a thorough understanding of your preferences, needs, lifestyle, timescale and budget. I’m very flexible and happy to design a new scheme for one room, or a refresh with new pieces of furniture, accessories or soft furnishings, or I can look at your whole house, or apartment, including kitchen and bathrooms.

Each client’s project is unique. I take a very individualised approach and the services I provide can be tailored to your needs and requirements. I can devise a concept to drive the design; consider space planning and produce a floor plan with furniture layouts; produce moodboards to give you a feel for the scheme; source furniture, fittings, soft furnishings, accessories and art; commission bespoke pieces and give you access to trade only suppliers. My philosophy is that the design process is a collaborative one and I am very happy working directly with my clients during this process as well as with architects, contractors and other specialists.

I aim to take the stress out of any renovation or building works. Attention to detail is paramount at this stage to ensure works run smoothly and avoid delays. I will liaise and work closely with architects and contractors to ensure all items are available as required. I can order all of the fittings, furniture, equipment and accessories for the project and coordinate delivery to your home. I am very careful how many projects I take on at a time so you can be sure that you will have my focus and I will be at the end of the phone should you need to chat throughout the project at any time.
